There are cricket matches… and then there are life lessons wearing pads.

When our Indian women lifted the World Cup, they didn’t just win a trophy — they knocked centuries of bias straight over long-on!

The Big Win

52 runs. That’s how much they won by — against South Africa.

But honestly, they’ve been winning by miles — against doubt, against old thinking, against all the “this is not for girls” nonsense that has echoed for decades.

They took on Australia, they took on the world, and they took on stereotypes — all before lunch.

Salute to Every Woman — My Hall of Fame 🏅

When I saw Harmanpreet lift that cup, I didn’t just see a cricketer.

I saw my mother, who managed life innings without timeouts.

I saw my wife, who plays every role from opener to wicketkeeper without asking for a substitute.

I saw my daughter, ready to play her own test match in this world — no third umpire needed!

And I saw all the women colleagues, doctors, friends, who’ve been quietly scoring runs in the background while some of us were still learning what LBW in life means — “Ladies Balancing the World.”

As I Age Gracefully (Like a Fine Test Player…)

I confess — I didn’t understand women’s challenges much when I was younger.

Thought “Oh come on, equality means same chances, right?”

Now I realise — same chances don’t mean same pitch conditions.

They’ve been playing on rough turf, with no helmets, and still hitting sixes with a smile.

The CoE of Life — Champions of Everything

Everyone talks about “Mobile Centers of Excellence.”

I say — women have been running Life Centers of Excellence all along.

They multitask better than multi-threaded processors.

They deliver faster than our backend APIs.

They debug life problems without Stack Overflow.

A Society’s Test Match

If cricket is about fair play, then life should be too.

A society that cheers women only when they lift trophies is like a team that celebrates only after the final — not during practice.

We need to clap in the nets too.

Let women lead in boardrooms, labs, schools, startups — not as exceptions, but as expectations.

Man of the Match? Nah — Woman of the World!

To all the women out there — my salute, my cheer, my high-five.

You’ve turned boundaries into milestones and googlies into giggles.

And to all the men — let’s not just “support women.”

Let’s learn from them how to play long innings with grace, patience, and purpose.

🏏 Moral of the Match:

When women win, the scoreboard of society lights up for everyone.

Let’s keep the applause going — not just when the final whistle blows,

but every time they walk in to bat, quietly, confidently… like the champions they’ve always been.

Yours Sincerely,
