Art has a magical way of connecting us to special moments and feelings. This beautiful painting of Vithala and Rukhumai by my brother-in-law, S.R. Krishnan, is not just a picture—it brings back memories and tells a story of devotion and love. It reminds me of the colorful and sacred town of Pandharpur and my own journey with spirituality.

The painting is full of details, like the flowers near Vithala’s feet and the shining ornaments of Rukhumai. It feels alive with devotion and beauty. My brother-in-law is a wonderful artist, and his daughter, Neha, is also very talented, keeping the family’s creative spirit alive.

When I look at this painting, I think about Haridhar Giri Swamy, who gave amazing talks about Panduranga during my high school days. My father used to record his speeches on our cassette recorder and play them at home. I can still hear Swamy’s voice calling out to Panduranga and Vittala—it’s a memory I will never forget.

Swamy always said that Panduranga welcomes everyone with open arms, no matter who they are. This idea is reflected in the painting, showing a kind and loving God who is there for everyone. My friend Madhavan often told me stories about his trips to Pandharpur—the lively pilgrims, the heartfelt devotional songs, and the unshakable faith of the people there. These stories always made me want to visit the place myself.

Through ISKCON, I’ve learned that Bhakti Yoga is all about loving and connecting with the Divine. It doesn’t matter how big or small your offering is—if it’s made with love, it’s enough. This painting beautifully shows that love and devotion. Panduranga’s open arms remind us to surrender with faith and trust.

I’m so grateful to S.R. Krishnan for creating this masterpiece. It’s not just a painting—it’s a way to relive memories, reflect on life, and feel closer to spirituality. True art doesn’t just decorate walls; it touches our hearts and enriches our lives.

மைத்துனர் கிருஷ்ணன் வரைஞ்ச விட்டலா-ருக்மணி படம். அட, என்ன அழகு! பாருங்க, விட்டல் காலடியிலே இருக்கிற பூக்கள், ருக்மணியோட நகைகள்னு டீடெய்லா வரைஞ்சிருக்கார். பண்டரிபுரம் கோயில் ஞாபகம் வருது. ஹரிதாஸ் கிரி சுவாமிகள் பண்டரிபுரத்தப் பத்தி பேசினது, என் அப்பா கேசட்டில பதிவு பண்ணிப் போட்டது… எல்லாம் கண் முன்னால வந்து நிக்குது.

பண்டரிபுரம் எல்லாருக்கும்தான்”னு சுவாமிகள் சொல்லுவார். இந்தப் படத்திலேயும் அந்தக் கருணை தெரியுது. நண்பர்கள் பண்டரிபுரம் பத்தி சொல்லும்போது, அங்கே போயிட்டு வந்தா மாதிரியே இருக்கும். பக்தி யோகம்னா என்னன்னு இஸ்கான்ல தெரிஞ்சுகிட்டேன். பக்தியில பெருசு சின்னதுன்னு கிடையாது. இந்தப் படமே அந்தப் பக்தியை அழகா காட்டுது.

கிருஷ்ணன் என்னமா வரைஞ்சிருக்கார்! நினைவுகளைக் கிளறிவிட்டு, பக்தியில ஆழ்த்திட்டார். சுவரில மாட்டறதுக்கு மட்டும்தான் ஓவியம்னு இல்ல. நம்ம மனசத் தொடணும். அதுதான் கலை!
